The Rock, Brislington

Substainable social, economic and environmental transformation

A Bristol City Council spokesperson said: “We are working with the Matthew Tree Project, who are trying to address food poverty in Bristol. They are looking for additional food growing land in the city, and it is council policy to increase the area of land available for the growing of food."

Bristol City Council press release, 26 March 2015

This FOODTURES plot is called 'The Rock' and is located in Nightingale Fields, Brislington, off Allison Road, Bristol BS4.

Below are the final designs for the site and are the result of a six month widespread public consultation. The site design takes into account all the comments and concerns expressed.

We would like to thank Bristol City Council allotments Manager, Steve Clampin; Ariaf Hussain of the Brislington Neighbourhood Partnership; the Rock Allotment holders and the many local community organisations for all their support and advice throughout the consultation process.

Thanks to Green Capital funding we are in the process of preparing the site for planting in early 2015.
