Food Donations

Without Your Food Donations We Couldn't Do What We Do
We are able to accept ambient (tins, jars, packets, long life items etc), fresh and chilled foods.

Our biggest need is for the following:

  • Long life milk
  • Friut
  • Vegtables
  • Cereals

If your food growing project, allotment, church, employer, club, group, organisation would like to donate new or surplus food to The Matthew Tree Project on a regular basis or as a one-off donation please contact us on the following e-mail address so we can arrange the collection details:

If every adult in Bristol bought just one extra item of food each week and donated it to The Matthew Tree Project, we would have more than enough food to feed everyone who is in need and who are going hungry in the city. The cost of most of the items we distribute is less than £1 so we know this is not, not happening because of affordability. We also know that most people are compassionate and once aware of the problem are only too pleased to be able to help.

It therefore boils down to the simple issue of logistics to enable people, who want to donate to do so, and it is also an issue of public awareness of the size and seriousness of the problem, and how it impacts upon us all.

The Matthew Tree Project is working tirelessly to raise public awareness of the issue and to establish a network of 'official Matthew Tree Project food donation collection points' across the city of Bristol to make it easy for those people who wish to help, to be able to conveniently donate food items on a regular weekly basis.
